Cloud Events for November 2017

November is a full month for cloud enthusiasts, with great cloud events both in United States and Europe, including one of the most important IT conference of the year (in my opinion, of course), which is AWS re:Invent.

AWS re:Invent 2017

Las Vegas, Nevada, will host this month the biggest AWS event of the year, AWS re:Invent 2017. Between 27 November and 1 December, you can attend over 1,000 breakout sessions, hackathons, bootcamps, labs, and workshops. Tickets are nearly sold out, hurry to secure your place.

If you can’t attend in person, you can still register for the live streaming of the keynotes. You can watch both keynotes (Andy Jassy, CEO, Amazon Web Services, and Werner Vogels, CTO, Amazon.com) and  Tuesday Night Live featuring Peter DeSantis, VP, AWS Global Infrastructure.

Google Cloud Platform

Google will host two sessions of their OnBoard tech event. Cloud OnBoard is a free training event that will give you an introduction to Google Cloud Platform. On 14 November, you can attend the event in Tallinn, Estonia. 2 weeks later, on 29 November, Rome, Italy, will host the second event for the month.

You can read my report on the Google OnBoard Bucharest event from last month.

Imagine Cloud Conference

Microsoft could not miss this list, so they have a free tech conference on Azure on 27 November in Munchen, Germany. A quote from the official presentation: High-profile speakers give you technically sound sessions; discuss and talk shop is always welcome! The experts will show you how to use Microsoft Cloud to design solutions that “listen”, “learn” and “act with foresight”.

Imagine Cloud Conference has 3 tracks, with topics like: Azure and Docker for beginners, Azure Container Service and Kubernetes, Azure Internet of Things, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Bot Services, Azure Backup, or even General Data Protection Regulation.

DevOps Enterprise Summit

Hilton Union Square from San Francisco, United States, hosts DevOps Enterprise Summit between 13 and 15 November. DOES17 conference is sold out, I hope you got your tickets already. Speakers from companies like Starbucks, Barclay’s, American Express, Etsy, Salesforce, Verizon or Capital One will share their DevOps stories, best practices and challenges.

Cloud Expo Europe

Frankfurt, Germany, will host Cloud Expo Europe on 28-29 November. From official presentation: “Your digital transformation starts here with a wealth of content, speakers from companies such as Microsoft, Flixbus, zeb, EY, Telefonica, Ravensburger AG,   E.ON Business Services GmbH or Commerzbank , presentations, exhibitors such as Intel, T-Systems, Axians , Pure Storage, Consultix, Rackspace or 1 & 1  and many more ideas. Discover DevOps, container and multicloud methods, experience the progress of FinTech, dive into our VIP Visitor Program and enter the Data Center World – Live Green Data Center”.

I like their motto as well: “The Cloud. Where everything is possible“. Sounds cool and it is 🙂
